Every home sold in Bend, OR will be required to have a Home Energy Score starting July 1st. After a home assessment, sellers will get a score that ranges from 1 to 10 based on the estimated energy use of the home. Broker Mark Garcia said buyers will now be able to compare homes by energy efficiency. Geoff Harris with Solaire Homebuilders specializes in making homes as energy efficient as possible.
